by LMH was born on a day when I needed a few days away from writing. Painting became the perfect outlet. It was a way to clear my mind while still staying creative. What began as a personal reset quickly grew. I entered a neighborhood art show, then started creating cards for family and friends. In those early painting sessions, I noticed all the imperfections, and instead of hiding them, I chose to embrace them. I began outlining the flaws with squiggly lines, and that distinctive style eventually became my signature. You can explore some of my artwork in a virtual gallery created by my brother, Brad Hamilton, through his company Creative Spins. * Please Note: * I am not a photographer, so the colors in the paintings may appear slightly different from the originals. The watercolor paper is white, not greyish or yellow as shown.

COMMISSIONED WORK & GIFTS

My father is a member of the Klamath, Modoc, Yahooskin tribe from Klamath, Oregon. The photograph is of his great-great-grandmother, Matilda Link River. I painted the newly undammed river along with a written poem titled
I Remember.

My sister commissioned me to paint her and her boyfriend’s favorite hike, Silver Dollar Lake, Colorado.

A gift for a best friend who had just enjoyed a whalewatching cruise off the coast of Washington state.

A gift for my brother and sister-in-law of Bridal Veil Falls, Telluride, Colorado. A frequented place during the Bluegrass Festival and multiple skiing vacations.
